Malia and Sasha Obama joined their parents, President Obama and First Lady Michelle in Selma, Alabama on Saturday March 7th to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, a march for voting rights for African Americans which took place in March 1965.
President Obama led the 50th anniversary of that historic marches across the Edmund Pettus Bridge with his wife Michelle Obama. At the event was also former President George Bush and his wife Laura Bush, some of the original foot soldiers from 1965, faith leaders, and elected officials in Alabama.
